Description
The Assistant Director of Marketing will help to develop and execute marketing and advertising plans for the Fox School of Business. Activities will be designed to accomplish various objectives, including but not limited to: enhancing brand reputation, generating leads for increasing enrollment, and fulfilling advertising plans. The incumbent will assist with the coordination and trafficking of advertising creative for internal project teams and external vendors, assist in analyzing marketing performance metrics, and work closely on tracking and developing the MarComm division budget.
 

The Assistant Director of Marketing will assist with maintaining a database of marketing requests/jobs; working closely on paid social media content; coordinating creative specs and the implementation of external-facing media; assist with updating marketing briefs and media one-sheets for all programs; and coordinating the messaging and promotion of turnkey events, such as webinars and information sessions.

The Assistant Director of Marketing will assist with creating and managing of billing requisitions, contracts and purchase orders in TU Marketplace; coordinating placements with University Communications and agency partners; and submitting invoices against placements and purchase orders to confirm billing accuracy. The incumbent will also work to track and reconcile payments, including but not limited to: trade publication subscriptions, social media campaigns, P-card purchases, etc. The right candidate will think two steps ahead, have a thorough understanding of the tasks within any given project, and keep calm under pressure. The candidate must be a creative problem solver and focused on identifying solutions, while managing both the internal and client teams. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field and at least two (2) years of marketing experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Required Skills/Abilities:

* High level of technological competence and proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong spreadsheet, database, presentation and word-processing skills.

* Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.

* Great initiative, highly motivated, with a continued willingness to develop new skills.

* Innovative thinker who will push the envelope and recommend new and better ways of accomplishing goals

 

Preferred:

* Working knowledge with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and Project Management software (e.g. Workfront)

* Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google AdWords

This position is temporarily assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on- campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
