The Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado Denver seeks to hire a part-time lecturer for the 2021-22 academic year. This position entails teaching a maximum of two courses per semester in either in-person or online format, although the individual hired for the position must be available to teach on the Auraria campus in Denver if needed.

Preference will be given to individuals with graduate specialization in criminology and/or sociology of law and teaching experience in one of those subfields. Willingness to teach introductory sociology is also desired.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $4,356 for 3-credit hour lower division courses or $4,791 for 3-credit hour upper division courses, and $5,265 for 3-credit hour graduate courses.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum qualification:

a PhD in Sociology or Criminology, and at least one year of college teaching experience.
