Position Description:
The Department Technology Analyst (DTA) provides frontline academic and overall computing support for faculty, staff and graduate students in the Dodd Humanities Group and the Department of Philosophy.
The DTA also delivers support Division-wide as part of a seven-person team, and contributes to Division-wide technology initiatives. The DTA's responsibilities include maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software; providing basic user training; planning and accommodating for changes in technology and evolving user needs and requirements; supporting departmental communications and web platforms and sites; consulting and collaborating with faculty and staff to take advantage of campus resources for digital work; and coordinating the effective and responsive resolution of complex technical problems.

The 2010 edition of U.S. News & World Report ranked UCLA as the 24th best university in the nation and 32nd best in the world. In the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report, UCLA Medical Center was ranked best in the West, as well as one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States alongside Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
