Duties:

The Digital Media Coordinator reports to the Manager of Multimedia Services, and is primarily responsible for collecting and assessing faculty and staff needs to aid in the design, development, and integration of innovative digital media systems and projects for college use. The Digital Media Coordinator is also responsible for the technical needs associated with academic capture events and special events requiring media production and support services.

The Digital Media Coordinator is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Technology or related field. Two to four years’ experience in multimedia or instructional technology, preferably in a college or educational setting.

Qualifications:

• Customer service focused.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using computer presentation programs such as Microsoft PowerPoint and web-based programs such as WordPress.
• Demonstrated ability to use production multimedia software and hardware systems such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, Adobe Premier, CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD burning software such as Nero and Roxio Creator.
• Demonstrated ability to use DVD authoring software (i.e., Roxio Creator, Sonic MyDVD, Ulead DVD Movie Factory, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to use digital video editing software and hardware such as Adobe Premiere, Pinnacle, Apple iMovie, and Windows Movie Maker requiring knowledge of digital video and audio CODECs.
• Demonstrated thorough understanding of high definition video and DVD format technology and connection types (i.e., Blu-ray, DVD, HDMI, DVI, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to use instructional multimedia hardware and software, such as SMART Boards, digital cameras, digital scanners, and other ancillary systems.
• Ability to respond to inquiries or questions from user departments, vendors, service representatives, and members of the educational/business community.
• Ability to prepare technical manuals, specifications, and diagrams.
• Ability to effectively present information to management, faculty, staff, members of the public as well as presentations for faculty and staff training sessions and workshops.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, reports, and documents.
• Basic knowledge of networking systems (i.e., network topology and bandwidth, firewalls, etc.).
• Experience using PC, Mac, and mobile platforms.

Full Time

Hours:

Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m.- 5:15 p.m.
Occasional evenings

Minimum Starting Rate:

$58,595.00
