Responsibilities and Duties
Primary Job Responsibilities:

 

    Coordinating clinical placements for students.Ensuring affiliation agreements are current.Working with program faculty and faculty internship coordinators to identify, secure, document and track student clinical education placements. Supporting and coordinating with the department chair, program directors/coordinators, clinical education coordinators, and internship coordinators to compile, update, maintain, and prepare records related to administrative processes associated with student internships and clinical placements. Maintaining confidential student files and program-based documentation for clinical/fieldwork/internship education.Supporting electronic record keeping and reviewing clinical mandatories as needed.Utilizing various software platforms to manage and report data (e.g. Peoplesoft, Microsoft Excel, etc.). Liaising with clinical and internship sites and agency personnel.Communicating with supervisors/preceptors.Identifying new clinical sites.Managing all clinical contracts, required reservations, scheduling, and compliance.Developing/maintaining complete databases and ensuring accreditation compliance. Organizing training, communicating and providing updates for site supervisors, preceptors or other clinical agency staff according to program needs, and supporting planning for these activities; coordinating communication and event details as needed. Initiating routine communication; receiving, screening, and responding to inquiries on the phone or in writing. Providing general information about departmental programs. Maintaining department/program communication regarding clinical fieldwork, such as website, and routine email/letters/phone scripts. Additional program support duties as assigned.
 

Some evening or weekend support may be required.



Qualifications and Skills
The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in higher education program support in clinical education and/or student placements. Additional requirements include:

    Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and effectively prioritize key tasks, shifting to higher priority if needed. Strong customer service skills, on the phone, through email, and in person. Working knowledge of variety of software platforms, such as PeopleSoft, Student Success Collaborative, and other cloud and web based software.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet required deadlines. Willingness to be creative, develop efficient practices and systems, and learn new skills. Ability to multi-task and attend to key details.Ability to maintain confidentiality.  
 

A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
