    This position will be teaching: BUS 701 Small Business Management - Mondays, 6 -8 PM

    This is a four credit 12-week accelerated MBA class. BUS 701 is an elective course available to both MBA students and students in other graduate programs. This class meets on-campus in a remote learning classroom. Students have the option of joining the class on-campus or joining remotely by zoom. The class meets 8 Monday evenings over a 12 week term: Aug 23, Aug 30, Sept 13, Sept 20, Oct 4, Oct 11, Oct 25, Nov 1.

    Course Description

    An applied course investigating key issues and competencies needed for students interested in starting, growing, managing, and transitioning small businesses. Topics include marketing, human resource management, accounting, finance, business law, and operations management. Students explore small business development and financial resources. Upon competition, students develop a strategic business plan for starting and operating their small business.


    A master's degree in business, management, or comparable field is required. Previous university-level teaching experience is preferred.
