26-Jul-2021 Close All Job SummaryThis position works within a collaborative framework with other departmental team members to ensure effective program and service delivery occurs in alignment with established processes and guidelines. They are a core staff contributor who provides direct service to students, faculty and staff of the university.
The Accommodation Support Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of academic accommodations granted to students with disabilities, including flexibility with attendance, peer note-taking assistance, accessible furniture/equipment, captioning and sign language interpreting.
The work requires heavy tracking, interpersonal, and coordination skills along with a collaborative approach within the department, division, and entire university community. This position supports students with disabilities in the post-secondary setting which requires expertise in interpretation and application of disability law. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Disability Services.
