Description
Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Assistant Director of Football Operations will assist in all matters related to the coordination of team travel and home game operations and the athletic eligibility of current and incoming football players.  Main responsibilities include the following: Provides assistance related to oversight of the maintenance and improvement of football facilities, including preparation and readiness; coordinates player development; assists with the monitoring and support of student-athletes with regard to financial aid, housing and meal arrangements; provides oversight of general football office operations; assists with in-season staff needs, including meal and travel arrangements; and oversees correspondence and administrative processing related to recruiting procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of directly related experience. Previous experience with a FBS Football program preferred. Knowledge of NCAA and Conference regulations, specifically related to those related to recruiting, strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 

Required Skills & Abilities:
* Must be able to work a highly variable schedule including nights and weekends.
* Must be able to lift 30 - 50 pounds.
* Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication and organizational skills. 
* Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Software including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Demonstrated problem solving, strong leadership, and team-building skills.
* Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to supervise the maintenance and improvements of football facilities, including field preparation and readiness.
* Ability to liaise with the coaching staff for football officiating and rules, including University guidelines, American Athletic Conference guidelines, and NCAA rules. 
* Ability to organize preseason training camp with regards to housing, meals, transportation, entertainment, speakers and presentations, officials, and daily schedule.
* Ability to assist with the coordination and execution of fundraising, donor, and fan events.

Preferred:
* Master’s degree.

This position requires a motor vehicle background check.
