Beall Applied Innovation facilitates connections between UCI and Industry. Under the general direction and in collaboration with the Chief Administration Officer (CAO), the incumbent is responsible for budgeting, accounting and financial reporting for Beall Applied Innovation. The Department's annual operating budget is approximately $16million including campus permanent and temporary funding, self-supporting revenue programs, extramural awards, and foundation endowment and non-endowment gifts. In collaboration with the CAO, responsible for the preparation, review and oversight of the Department's annual and long-term operating budgets, overall accounting operations, financial management and financial reporting and analysis. Work closely with the CAO on strategy to achieve Department's financial goals and objectives. Oversee monthly reporting and operational activities of account managers, including development and maintenance of the Department's financial reporting system, general ledger reconciliation, and processing of expenses, as well as other financial processes and issues that arise. Responsible for compiling, tracking, and preparing drafts of complex and comprehensive financial reports for timely submission. Provide analytical support and assistance with problem solving to the CAO and senior management. Perform analysis in coordination with central campus offices such as Academic Affairs, Accounting & Fiscal Services, Budget Office, Risk Management, Purchasing, and other related administrative units to resolve discrepancies and produce financial reports. Manage financial operation of approximately 125 subtenants at Beall Applied Innovation.
