THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities The physician will perform all the duties of a clinical hematologist/oncologist. The physician will see patients in the UC Davis Oncology Network, predominantly at the "Rocklin" Placer County Health site. On occasion, the Division may need the physician may be asked to attend patients at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento During the day the physician will see patients in the office and evaluate and initiate therapy for those patients. The practice will be limited to patients with hematological or cancer related problems. On average the physician may see 10-20 patients per 8-hour day. In addition to these duties, the physician will be responsible for doing consultations in Placer County Health as requested by referring physicians. The physician will perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies as needed for patients in the Placer County Health site or Cancer Center when the need arises. The Placer County Health site is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the physician is expected to be available anytime patients are present for treatment. The physician's time will be allocated as follows: 90% Direct clinical care 10% Administrative, education and training activities Required Qualifications

Current license to practice medicine in the State of California Completion of a medical internship at an accredited institution, completed a residency program in Internal Medicine at an accredited institution, and completed a medical fellowship in Hematology and/or Oncology. Board Certified and Participating in Maintenance of Certification in Internal Medicine, and Board Certified or Participating in Maintenance of Certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology within 2 years of accepting the position. Possession of a valid California medical license and DEA license at the time of appointment. Be an active member in good standing with full privileges of the Medical Staff of the University of California, Davis Medical Center (“UCDMC”) or other hospitals where work is assigned by the Division Chief.
