We have a full-time Lecturer Med/Surg faculty position available in our ACEN accredited ADN program. Position includes didactic, lab, simulation, and clinical teaching and/or clinical conference. Position begins in January 2022 on our Paramus campus.

The general responsibilities for faculty members in this area are: developing curriculum and course syllabi, classroom, lab, simulation and clinical course instruction, developing evaluation methods, providing student performance feedback, counseling students for academic success , working as a member of the nursing faculty team, and maintaining professional development in nursing.

Teaching responsibilities will include classroom/didactic instruction, participation in clinical laboratory simulations, demonstration and evaluation of students providing direct patient care in a variety of acute, subacute and long term care treatment settings.

Must demonstrate experience utilizing technology in web enhanced courses, hybrid (synchronous/asynchronous), on-line course management systems, online resources management systems (ATI) and simulation to enhance student learning objectives and program assessment outcomes.

Lecturer positions are a one semester, full-time, temporary appointment for a full semester, teaching a 15-hour per week course load with possibility of renewal. The salary for Lecturers with a Masters’ degree is $22,285/semester. For all Lecturer positions teaching experience is required unless otherwise noted.

Qualifications:

Required: Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program and a current NJ RN license required. Must have a minimum of 3 years of current clinical experience as a registered nurse. Minimum 3 years teaching experience in an academic setting; this qualification may be waived for an individual with appropriate alternate experience. Day and evening availability is required.
