Position Summary:
The DUWCSP Digital Media Coordinator supports communications for the Davis UWC Scholars, Projects for Peace, and Davis Fellows for Peace programs.

Essential Functions:
Offer is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Assists the DUWCSP Executive Assistant and the Director of Advancement Communications to develop and implement communications plans for the three programs listed above.
• Keeps web content updated, troubleshoots technical issues, and implements communications strategies.
• Recommends and implements social media strategies and creates content to engage Davis UWC Scholars through the group’s Facebook page.
• Uses web and social media analytics to drive engagement and improve web, social, and marketing communications.
• Assists in the delivery of digital marketing materials to ensure maximum engagement among target audiences. Maintains digital content to facilitate engagement and use across marketing and communications platforms.
• Collaborates with the DUWCSP Executive Assistant and external designers to ensure that print and online communications reflect the programs’ high standards and brand identity.
• Coordinates with Advancement Communications on digital marketing efforts.

General Responsibilities:
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrated data and technical skills
• Understanding of social media and social media analytics and the ability to develop and execute strategies and create engaging content.
• Understanding of site architecture, navigation strategies, and Google analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-discipline and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.

Experience:
• 2-5 years of previous experience in higher ed communications or other communications field
• Experience with Excel, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and HTML markup.
• Experience with social media
• Experience with content-management programs (such as Drupal and WordPress)
• Experience writing persuasive communications preferred

In the Green Mountains lies Middlebury's Bread Loaf campus, where for six weeks each summer the Bread Loaf School of English is in session. This is followed by the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, which brings together 200 authors and aspiring authors for 11 days of intensive exchange about the art of writing. The Bread Loaf School of English is in session each summer not only in Middlebury but also at Lincoln College, Oxford, in the United Kingdom; at St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico; and at the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

There is also an overseas dimension to Middlebury College. The C.V. Starr-Middlebury Schools Abroad are located in Belo Horizonte, Berlin, Bordeaux, Buenos Aires, Concepción, Córdoba, Ferrara, Florence, Getafe, Guadalajara, Hangzhou, Irkutsk, La Serena, Logroño, Madrid, Mainz, Montevideo, Moscow, Niterói, Paris, Poitiers, Santiago, Temuco, Tucumán, Valdivia, Valparaíso, Xalapa, and Yaroslavl.
