Job SummaryThis part-time administrative position coordinates the provision of administrative services for Learning Resources and provides support services to the Director for the operation within the department.
Duties & Responsibilities- Prepares payroll, department requisitionsSchedules and leads all part-time support staff and student assistants for Learning Resources to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staffProvides administrative, purchasing, and clerical support for all learning resources servicesPerforms vendor relations activities; secures quotes from vendorsProcesses invoices and prepares reportsServes as the coordinator of learning resources public servicesAssists in the support of all current learning resources and lab services to meet the needs of students, faculty and staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Associate's degree and two (2) years of related experience in an academic setting; or One year (30 credits) of college coursework from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of related experience in an academic setting Possess good organizational, verbal, and problem solving skillsKnowledge of the terminology, content and classification of materials and resourcesKnowledge of Microsoft Office software applicationsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to display initiative and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relations and work well in a multi-ethnic and multi- cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
