Job Summary

The Part-Time Program Assistant provides administrative support to the Program Managers or Directors. This is a temporary grant-funded position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receives, screens, and directs phone calls
  • Provides support to the Program Manager in a number of clerical and administrative functions
  • Assists in coordinating operations for facility scheduling
  • May handle highly confidential information
  • Responds to special requests and projects, frequently under deadline conditions
  • Establishes and organizes department files/records
  • Keeps travel and expense records for supervisors and others as required
  • Schedules and confirms appointments for interviews
  • Monitors multiple budgets
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • One (1) year equivalent to thirty (30) college credits from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience; or High School Diploma or GED equivalent and four (4) years of related experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresPossess excellent telephone and customer service skills Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
