Support instruction and student work in the Math Emporium computer lab. Maintain and update computers, courseware, and course materials for the Preparation for College Mathematics course. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide support for instructors and students, including answering questions, ensuring policies are applied consistently, and providing support for the computers and courseware.Ensure that all computer hardware and software in the lab is working properly and communicate with IT and the courseware provider about any issues.Monitor the Emporium testing area.Manage information in the courseware, including updating and generating reports used to track student progress and exporting information to Colleague.Analyze and disseminate information from the card reader to track student attendance and use of the lab.Maintain Emporium schedules and manage the tutoring schedule.Perform other related work duties as assigned. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:
Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree in mathematics or a related field. Experience teaching or tutoring math courses, particularly at the developmental level. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field. Computer support experience.
