JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  This position will coordinate third and fourth year medical students rotating through the department, coordinate shadowing opportunities for high school and college students, and coordinate resident academic conferences.



    Department contact and support for medical students completing clerkship.Scheduling orientation, lectures, mid-term evaluations, weekly clerkship director meeting, oral/written exams, and rotations.Gather student evaluations, tally grades for submission to Memphis or corresponding medical school.Compile and maintain student notebooks for each rotation.Distribute information regarding incoming students to faculty and staff.Assist with implementation of new programs and projects for the division.Gather and prepare information for resident conferences and professional conferences. Prepare and distribute sign-in sheets and have appropriate.Gather and prepare info for Grand Rounds. Prepare and distribute sign-in sheets.Performs other duties as necessary.


EDUCATION:  High School diploma and two (2) years office experience. Ability to work independently as well as with a diverse group of professionals and staff. Ability to prioritize tasks. Must be able to utilize office equipment. Knowledge of computer software (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
