The UT System Deputy Title IX Compliance Coordinator assists system campuses and institutes in Title IX Compliance, and will serve to implement internal controls to support the accurate and complete reporting and record keeping on all campuses/institutes in the areas of Title IX. The UT System Deputy Title IX Compliance Coordinator does not serve in a supervisory role,  but instead serves to support each campus/ institute through coordination, communication, and collaboration. 

Additionally, the position serves to support the System Title IX Compliance Coordinator to help identify risks, develop proactive remediation plans, and notify campus and institute leadership as appropriate.  Each campus retains the responsibility of Title IX compliance at the local level.  
 



Qualifications
Required Qualifications

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required, along with professional work experience in discrimination of affirmative action compliance, human resources compliance, or a related areas such as student disciplinary, criminal or internal audit investigative work; experience conducting training exercises for small or large groups; and experience leading and developing teams or work groups.

Additional required knowledge skills include:

  • Legal knowledge of Title IX, Title VII, Violence Against Women Act, Clery and all other associated legislation and guidance.
  • The ability to create and facilitate engaging and interactive training.
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills.
  • The ability to work across systems and develop teams. 
Preferred Qualifications

Two years of investigation/ Title IX; work experience in discrimination of affirmative action compliance, human resources compliance, or a related area is preferred. Full-time experience investigating complex issues; full-time experience in a university setting; and experience developing training exercises for small or large groups
