UCCS and CAE Northwest HUB Program and Outreach Coordinator

Department of Cybersecurity

This part-time (32 hour per week) position will work with PI/Co-PI to support the national initiatives on CAE-C National K-12 Pipeline, CAE-C Competition, and Cybersecurity Faculty development. The position will also work with the Director of Cybersecurity Programs and be responsible for outreach activities to current and future UCCS students interested in Cybersecurity, current and future employer partners, the Colorado Springs community and local schools in order to expand on relationships and opportunities for students and employers in the realm of Cybersecurity.

Job Duties:

  • Develop a familiarity of contacts and content of all Northwest Hub programs.
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring activities of Hub members in support of NSA PMO national Initiatives.
  • Apply critical thinking skills creatively to complex and undefined topics and challenges.
  • Assist Special Program coordinator in scheduling the use and activity on CAE -C hub tools to include but not limited to CAE-C website presence, Zoom, Hub email, Trello and Slack.
  • Assist in logistics for Northwest Hub team meetings to include scheduling and content coordination.
  • Assist with developing marketing of national and regional events and initiatives.
  • Comply with all Federal and State laws and University regulations.
  • Comply with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Integrity.
  • Develop relationships with current UCCS students, prospective students and community organizations/employers.
  • Cultivate current relationships with students and employers.
  • Manage and schedule outreach programs in the community and local schools.
  • Develop activities and events for current UCCS students, engagement with local employers, and mentoring programs for local schools.
  • Work with Career Center to schedule resume building, internships and job opportunities with local businesses.

  • This position has been determined to be eligible for overtime (non-exempt) under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

    What We Offer:

    Salary Range: Generally starting at $33,739 - $43,534

    The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

    Tentative Search Timeline:

    Qualifications
    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in a business, cybersecurity or technical discipline
  • 1-year of professional experience
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Program coordination and/or project coordination experience
  • Awareness of cybersecurity education programs (including K-12, collegiate and/or training)
  • Familiarity with NICE Cybersecurity Framework and the DHS/NSA Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) in cybersecurity program
  • Experience coordinating between government, educational and industry entities
  • Ability to implement concrete programs
  • Ability to monitor multiple efforts accurately and to communicate effectively with a diverse audience
  • An aptitude and interest to work in a highly dynamic learning environment
  • Physical Requirements

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. Employee is occasionally required to move. Tasks may involve looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
