Job Summary
Columbus State University has an opening for an Admission Counselor in the Office of Admissions / Enrollment Management. This position is responsible for recruiting students to Columbus State University from an assigned territory. This position is based on our main campus in Columbus, GA.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: visiting high schools; attending college fairs; and coordinating a variety of other recruitment and enrollment activities, such as, Alumni Programs and Campus Visitation Days; and all other related duties as assigned. Work is performed with considerable independence, and travel is required. The successful candidate must provide own vehicle. Weekend and evening work will be required throughout the academic year to support University recruitment activities.

Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. The successful candidate must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills; the ability to make presentations to large and small audiences; a demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; the ability to assemble and analyze reports for use in designing and implementing recruitment strategies; work effectively with colleagues, prospective students, parents, high school counselors, alumni, and faculty members; and the ability to work irregular hours, nights, and weekends. The successful candidate must possess the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Proposed Salary
The annualized salary for this position is $35,500 and includes full benefits.
