Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in computer science or computer engineering
OR
Bachelor’s in either of the above
AND
Master’s in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineering
OR
Bachelor’s in engineering
AND
Master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration
OR
Bachelor’s in mathematics
AND
Master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration
OR
Bachelor’s degree in any of the above
AND
A master’s degree in information science, computer information systems, or information systems
OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
(NOTE: Courses in the use of computer programs for application to a particular discipline may be classified for minimum qualifications purposes, under the discipline of the application.)

Desirable Qualifications:
Two or more years of experience teaching college level Computer Science or related courses both in-person and in distance education formats.
Two or more years of professional work experience in Java, Python, and/or C++ software development.

Special Instructions Summary: This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date.
This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
