Position Description:
UCLA Extension is considered one of the top programs of its kind, offering to more than 35,000 students per year approximately 4,500 classes and non-degree certificate programs to meet the professional development, continuing education and personal enrichment needs of the full spectrum of nontraditional students as well as companies and organizations throughout and beyond the Los Angeles region.
Under the guidance and supervision of the Assistant Dean of Student Services and indirect supervision of the Registrar, the Student Services Operations Analyst analyzes and improves the UCLA Extension (UNEX) student experience in how students interact with UNEX departments, staff, services and technology. Major duties include efficiently and effectively coordinating student support services with a goal of enhancing the student experience to improve student satisfaction, engagement, retention, and success; assisting in the coordination of daily Students Services' departmental operations and workgroup projects with a goal of improving departmental processes and workflows, prioritizing and implementing changes required for sustained success of initiatives to improve the student experience; managing UNEX scholarship programs; providing analytical support to review, assess and process a wide range of information; and working with the Assistant Dean of Student Services and team members on short- and long-range projects. The incumbent also researches, evaluates, monitors, and ensures compliance with policies and regulations governing UNEX Student Affairs, and Veterans Affairs.

In the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report, UCLA Medical Center was ranked best in the West, as well as one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States alongside Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
