Job Summary This position is responsible for general fundraising from various constituencies, implementing events, programs and communication strategies that build relationships with constituents that help advance the university’s vision.Responsibilities
Solicits donor gifts. (50%)Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards major donors and prospects including individuals, corporations, and foundations, through visits (travel required) and other forms of direct personal contact in accordance with performance targets set by the Georgia Southwestern State University and the GSW Foundation. Merges receipts, acknowledgements, and other communications and reports using specified software.Makes effective use of the University’s prospect management database and other institutional resources to ensure appropriate management of donors, prospects, alumni, and volunteers in coordination with University objectives.
Researches information and prepares reports. (25%)Researches, writes, edits, or oversees the preparation of persuasive, accurate, and grammatically and syntactically correct solicitations, proposals, case statements, reports, correspondence, and other development-related communication materials in support of the unit’s fund-raising activities.
Manages preparations for meetings and events. (15%)Coordinates and attends various aspects of special events for the University, both on and off-campus, whether national or international.
Performs a variety of related duties. (10%)
- Bachelor’s degree required.At least two years of professional experience.
