Job Details

This is a full-time, 9-month, ranked faculty position in the School of Occupational Therapy with a primary teaching focus on Functional Anatomy, Research Design/Methodology, Evidence-based practice and Clinical Neuroscience. This position reports to the Chair of the School of Occupational Therapy. The assignment of faculty rank is commensurate with credentials and experience.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A faculty member's responsibilities are detailed in the Faculty Handbook with primary focus on: 1. Teaching: Teach a designated load per semester. Teaching load and other assignments are made by the Chair and Dean with the approval of the Provost. 2. Scholarship: Conduct research and/or pursue scholarly interests appropriate to the expectations of the discipline, professional development goals and the accrediting body, ACOTE. 3. Service: Actively participate in service to the School, College, University, and the Professional Community (State and National). This includes contributing to faculty governance activities and committees as well as the work of the School. Within the School this involves participation in addressing accreditation standards, strategic planning and program/curriculum development. This also includes events that may not occur during typically scheduled time such as Open House, New Student Orientation and off site events. 4. Advising: Manage advisees as assigned for the purpose of supporting their academic success and professional growth. 5. Using Assessment/Program Evaluation data in order to: a. Make decisions about curriculum b. Address accreditation standards and improve programmatic outcomes c. Address professional development needs

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education:

Earned doctorate in a behavioral or other science.

Experience:

1. Minimum 2 years teaching experience in an academic or clinical setting. 2. Demonstrated scholarly agenda. 3. Experience with a human cadaver lab and the ability to supervise student research groups a plus.
