Become a Lion and join the Pride! MSSU is seeking an Adjunct instructor to teach on campus in the area of Costume Design, and Costume Shop Manager, beginning Fall 2021. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in the related discipline area, (Master's preferred). Certification in certain fields may also be accepted depending on subject matter. Applicants should provide a detailed letter of application, curriculum vitae, copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts, as well as the names and contact information of three professional references. Duties will include:

  • Shop supervisor is responsible for all costume lab students and projects during afternoon hours
  • Supervising all Independent Studies and classes in Costume Design & Costume Technologies.
  • Overseeing daily costume shop functions
  • Maintaining costume shop facilities
  • Requesting and ordering all material needed for Productions
  • Building, altering, and constructing of costumes for all productions
  • Assisting with costume rentals and loans for local theatre troupes, opera companies, and school productions
  • Cleaning and maintaining all costumes during rehearsal and run of shows
  • Cleaning and storing of all costumes after show runs
  • Plus other duties as assigned
