Pursues collection of accounts with insurance companies and patients,patient and insurance phone call duties daily, answers patient accountquestions, takes payment by phone, front desk duties for the department, helpsto coordinate credentialing functions. assistsDirector of Clinic Financial Services and Financial Reporting Manager with basic accountingduties.
Typically office environment; possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk,finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with orwithout reasonable accommodations.

-High School Diploma/GED
-Two (2) years of insurance/billing collections experience in a primary care facility required. Must have a working knowledge of coding/claim issues, ICD-9 and CPT coding in an ambulatory care clinic. If applying with college or technical training in the medical billing/collections field, will accept 1 year experience as above.
-Valid Oklahoma Drivers' License

-ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
-Computer knowledge, organization and interpersonal skills. The ability to meet deadlines and the ability to file.
-Knowledge of insurance filing, collection laws, research personal and insurance overpayments requests and bankruptcy laws.
-Certified coder with experience in collections for an ambulatory primary care facility.
