Position Summary:

The Division of Enrollment Management is a key campus thought partner that provides collaborative leadership in university-wide efforts, utilizing systematic, innovative, and synergistic approaches to leverage a data-informed enrollment strategy to improve market distinctiveness, and execute the campus strategic plan. The division comprises the offices of Enrollment Management, Financial Aid & Scholarships, University Registrar, and Undergraduate Admissions. The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is to support and achieve UCI student enrollment goals through practices consistent with the mission and values of the university. The Office seeks to identify, recruit, admit and enroll high achieving, talented and accomplished students who reflect diverse backgrounds from throughout California, across the United States, and abroad. UCI welcomes students who will contribute to and celebrate the diversity of the campus, realize their potential to positively impact the community and world, and foster their own and the university’s spirit of research and innovation.

The Program Coordinator, Visitor Services supports the Visitor Services function in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions which includes the Campus Tour Program and the Public Information Desk. Uses professional admissions and recruitment concepts to assist with recruitment efforts and evaluation activities.

Required:

1-3 years of related experience.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Basic knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Understanding of the principles of California's Master Plan of Higher Education, with particular emphasis on the unique roles played by each segment. Skill in listening, anticipating, and responding to the needs of customers to achieve excellent customer service measured by outcomes rather than activities.

Preferred:

Basic knowledge of UC, and the ability to explain basic information to prospective applicants and the public. Basic knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements at UC.

Special Conditions Preferred:

• Occasional nights/weekends required. • Frequent travel outside of normal business hours required. • Must possess a valid CA driver’s license. • Employment is subject to a DOJ background check. • Employee is required to sign a confidentiality/conflict of interest disclosure.
