Position Summary:

Assist Blaauw lab in ongoing research projects

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Understand the fundamentals of the science; read and understand technical documents; perform basic scientific routines, protocols, and tests; articulate data to researchers.Ability to record and maintain data in computerized and non-computerized formats. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and statistical software for simple analyses. Able to communicate effectively. Ability to follow general laboratory safety protocols and work will involve insect identification, insecticide bioassays, handling of live insects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

To work with supervisor to develop protocols, analyze data, and complete reports from off-campus field research studies on orchard pest insects at research and commercial farms.
