Description
Reporting to the PI of a project on race, Black men, and resilience, the PT Research Associate will assist with conducting qualitative and field based research and the development of scholarly publications.

The position will require a combination of trans-disciplinary knowledge of the literature on race, of organizing the literature in a way that facilitates the development of scholarly manuscripts, knowledge of ethnographic and other forms of qualitative research, and an understanding of the protocol for developing and submitting scholarly research proposals and manuscripts.

The incumbent will be responsible for the collection of data, developing outlines for scholarly articles, and the development of research proposals for PI’s related publications and research. Perform other duties as required.
 

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and at least two years of directly related experience. Experienced in conducting qualitative research. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.   


Required Skills & Abilities:
* Familiarity with computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software such as Nudist, NVivo, ATLAS.ti, or Delve
* Self-directed and self-motivated attitude toward work
* Strong project management, analytic, problem-solving, and organizational skills
* Strong knowledge of ethnographic methodology and field research

Preferred:
* Ph.D. or Ed.D.  preferred
