Job Details
This position is instrumental in providing formative andsummative educational experiences (utilizing standardized patients) for healthcare learners and residency programs. Thisposition responds to requests from the Directors of the COM. CON, PA, Pharmacy,OT, PT. IPE, Human Donation Science and the Residency Programs. All these departments rely on standardizedpatients for simulations, to better prepare learners for clinical experiencesand board exams. The Director’s role isto recruit, train and retain reliable and accountable Standardized Patients,essential for accurate, standardized portrayals. The Director must insure all OSCEs paralleland prepare the M3 learners for the Step 2 CS Board Examination. Providing timely summative scoring data toall departments is overseen by this position.
Effective, cooperative communication between departments isimperative to this position. The largevolume of encounters (33,352, servicing 11,115 learners in the 2018-2019academic year) required strict budget and time management. This position oversees full documentation andknowledge of costs and allocations, along with a monthly budget balance.
Student retention and satisfaction are vital, and thisposition must ensure the logistics and operation of all learner activities runsmoothly, on time, and as stress free as possible.
Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Indicate minimum required to qualifyor perform this job.)
Baccalaureate degree preferred in education or a health-related discipline
At least 5 years experience developing instructional programs and managing educational programs involving evaluation instruments pertaining to standardized patient’s and health care professionals.
Outstanding interpersonal and public relations skills
Excellent written and communication skills
Flexible work schedule
