Adjunct Instructor - Computer Sciences

Salary: Current adjunct rate

MVCC's School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math-Transfer. invites applications for anAdjunct Instructor in the Computer Sciences discipline.

Adjunct faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with establishedpolicies and guidelines. Courses may be taught in traditional classroomsettings, virtually, or a combination. This position may include bothdaytime and evening class assignments. Specific assignments will be madeaccording to the academic qualifications and availability of the individual andthe School needs. Courses may include Principles of Programming, Computers and Society, and related courses.

Overview of Job Duties:


Facilitate classroominstruction; Teach assigned class in accordance with the learning objectives; Develop and maintain syllabus materials; Evaluate student performance; Maintaingrades, enter midterm and final grades; Respond promptly to student inquiries;Maintain attendance records according to MVCC standards; Integrate current andemerging instructional delivery technologies into the learning process;Maintain professional standards that protect student confidentiality; Communicateeffectively, both orally and in writing using discretion, patience, andcourtesy.

Master’s degree in discipline OR Bachelor’s degree in discipline & relevant work experience
