Job Summary Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC), a four-year, degree-granting institution of the University System of Georgia, is accepting applications for Part-Time Faculty to teach Criminal Justice Courses during the day, evenings, weekends and/or online. The college currently serves approximately 3000 commuting students on its beautifully landscaped campus which is located 10 minutes south of downtown Atlanta and 15 minutes north of Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Atlanta Metropolitan State College is continuously seeking qualified candidates for part time/adjunct faculty teaching positions. Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. Online, Day and Evening hours available; duties may involve split teaching shifts.

Required Qualifications Qualifications for instructional positions include a minimum of three years' full-time work experience in the discipline taught and educational background specific to the courses/programs. Formal teaching certification is not required. Teaching positions in most Associate and Bachelor Degree programs require a Master's Degree in the field (or) a Master's Degree in a related field with at least 18 semester hours in the subject to be taught, terminal Degree in the field or related area.

Limited instructional opportunities are available for candidates who possess appropriate licensure and/or a Bachelor's Degree in the teaching discipline or a related field. However, preference will be given to candidates with a Master's Degree or higher. All academic credentials must be granted by a nationally or regionally accredited college or university.

In addition to education and work experience, some positions may also require active licensure or certification specific to the field. Compensation is commensurate with academic preparation and experience. Most program areas experience occasional rotation of adjunct instructors.
