Job Description

The Department of Educator and Leadership Preparation is currently seeking a non-tenured track Adjunct faculty in Early Childhood for academic year 2020-2021. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Early Childhood. Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes. Flexible to suit course schedule.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood or related field from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Experience as a teacher of young children or early childhood professional working with children and families.

  • Experience working with diverse children and families.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Doctoral degree in Early Childhood from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Knowledge about culturally relevant and sustainable pedagogies.

  • Experience working with public and/or private early childhood settings.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Once selected, applicants will be required to submit additional documents which may include three original professional letters of recommendation and official transcripts from each degree-granting institution. Unofficial transcripts are accepted by email before the hiring process is complete. Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Search Committee at the address listed below. Letters of recommendations must also be sent to the address listed and must be received directly from each author.

E-scripts and E-recommendations will be considered IF emailed directly to

am-saofficeof.humanresources@tamusa.edu.

Finalists will be required to provide three current, original letters of recommendation and official transcripts to the Search Committee Chair at the address above. Transcripts and letters of recommendation must be sent directly from the letter writers, and transcripts must be sent directly from the institution where the degree was obtained. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
