Job Summary:

The School of Nursing and Health Professions seeks to hire part-time (adjunct) nursing faculty to assume the Clinical Coordinator role for the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) programs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Establish clinical placement opportunities for Nurse Practitioner (FNP & PMHNP) Students

2. Collaborate with the clinical placement coordinators on establishing the MOU for a clinical placement site

3. Administer the clinical placement request survey to students each semester

4. Develop a preliminary clinical placement plan each semester for the Director of NP Programs review/approval

5. Collect the student Preceptor and Clinical Site evaluations each semester and compile summary report of results for the NP Program Director

6. Gather and submit preceptor CVs to Typhon

7. Collaborate with Program Manager on working in Typhon

• Set up student orientation to Typhon each semester with Lizzie and Typhon representative

• Provide students instructions and support for logging clinical experiences in the first clinical course (N7230; N748)

• Manage clinical site database in Typhon Manage preceptor database in Typhon

• Monitor and manage with the Manager of Graduate Nursing Programs the student health requirements in Typhon

• Support clinical faculty and students with Typhon issues

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing with evidence of clinical expertise and demonstrable skills.

• Experience in clinical teaching, student supervision, and teaching methods are desired but not required.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Faculty maintains current RN licensure.

Experience with Typhon is a plus!
