Job Summary

The Part-Time Student Experience Coordinator coordinates with faculty and supports the Academic Affairs Department to provide a broad range of student experiences designed to serve identified student cohorts in their progression to achieve educational and career goals.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Proactively utilizes a case worker model to support students for maximum student experience and success through role modeling, group and individual appointments
  • Collaborates with chairs, faculty and other departments to develop, plan and coordinate focused meaningful educational activities, workshops and projects for students
  • Coordinates with faculty team to provide proactive consistent communications and preparation opportunities for required coursework
  • Coordinates with student services, testing, student life and career services to identify resources and other support for students
  • Provides students with educational and career coaching opportunity through career services, MDC Works and other resources
  • Proactively collaborates with stakeholders for recruitment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of related experience in related work.
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to project a positive imagine of the College and its programs
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective public relations
  • Ability to assess and resolve problems
  • Ability to monitor data and analyze short and long term goals
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
