Administrative Assistant II – Music, Theatre & Dance

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II in the Music, Theatre & Dance Department.
Primary Job Duties: Provides complex administrative support to the management and operation of the performance and production aspects of 1) the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance and 2) the Music, Theatre and Dance Box Office. Responsible for the coordination, promotion, and logistical support of all performances for the department including supervision of box office and front-of-house operations.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma/GED. 3 years of experience providing administrative performing arts support. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleSoft is required.
General knowledge of and skill in the practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing. Ability to proofread and edit written documents. Skill in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs, Internet, email and calendaring software. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions.
Preferred Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor's degree in performing arts, preferred.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting hourly rate is $18.16, which is approximately $37,863.00 annually. After successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, there is a 2.5% pay increase for new hires or internal promotions.
