Job Details

The Morgridge College of Education is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the 2021-2022 academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in the Library and Information Science department. Courses may vary.

Adjunct faculty positions are non-benefited positions. More information about the courses can be found on the Registrars Office schedule of classes at https://www.du.edu/registrar/course/scheduleofclasses.html. This posting will serve for multiple openings.

Basic Teaching Duties

Course Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities:

  • Teach in person or online once or twice a week (depending on course).
  • Create and maintain course Canvas container.
  • Meet with students as needed.
  • Assign papers, exams and other deliverables as appropriate.
  • Grade in a timely manner.
  • Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree.
  • Previous teaching experience at the graduate level and/or field experience in library and information science.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD degree in relevant fields.

Course Rate

$1,058 per credit hour taught

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, available market information, and course enrollment, but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
