Job Summary

The Department of Pediatrics, within the Medical College of Georgia, at Augusta University, is seeking to hire an Associate Professor faculty position in the division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide high-quality, comprehensive care in pediatrics in an effort to improve quality, safety and patient satisfaction.

Be clinically productive through the provision of outpatient clinical services.

Participate in outpatient on-call duties with other faculty.

Meet all metrics associated with Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE).

Become increasingly productive through the provision of clinical services in general pediatrics.

Meet and maintain wRVU productivity targets as set forth by the department chair and MCG Dean’s Office through clinical services provided.

Support departmental efforts in building currently established clinical programs by promoting good professional relationships with AU physicians and physicians outside of AU (referring physicians in community, region and state).

Provide prompt feedback to referring physicians.

Provide education and training to residents, medical students and staff in pediatrics which includes but is not limited to: clinical supervision, consultation and didactics.

Minimum Requirements

Medical degree from an accredited medical school/university; Board Certification/Board Eligible in Pediatrics.

Candidate must have or be eligible for a State of Georgia Medical License; DEA and CPR certification.

Shift/Salary

Academic rank, tenure status and salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

Conditions of Employment

The final candidate will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
