Job Description Summary

The Student and Family Engagement student employee is responsible for assisting the professional staff in the daily operations of the Department of Student and Family Engagement, including the areas of Student Activities, Greek Life, Community Engagement, Orientation, Parent and Family Programs, Student Government Union, Campus Activities Board, and LEAD Scholars. Work-study employees selected for positions in the Department of Student and Family Engagement will grow the following career competency areas:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Eligible Federal Work-Study
  • Full-time enrollment in a Saint Leo University undergraduate degree program
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn new procedures
  • Demonstrate professionalism at all times
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning and execution of departmental programming for students and families, including large scale events such as Welcome Week, Fall Family Festival, Veterans Day and MLK weeks, New Student Orientation, Spring Fling, and more
  • Upkeep and general maintenance (cleaning, & reporting any issues) of the Student and Family Engagement golf cart
  • Generate excitement and enthusiasm that is contagious throughout our Saint Leo University community
  • Assisting professional staff with on-going projects and research
  • Assist the Mail Center and Residence Life with projects and assist during peak times
  • Other duties as assigned
