Job Details

Reporting to the Chairperson of the Department of Podiatric Medicine in the School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM), the Senior X-Ray Technologist provides radiology services in a manner that ensures a safe, expeditious, and courteous patient experience and timely, accurate data recording for patients treated at the Foot and Ankle Institute, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), Leonard Abrams Center for Advanced Wound Healing, Temple Total Therapy (T3) and other health services divisions of TUSPM.  In addition, this position coordinates the administration of the radiology department and assists in the academic and training programs of the School. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited 2-year radiologic technology program required; current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and current licensure as an x-ray technician in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are required; one year of experience as a lead/senior radiology technologist and three years’ experience in a podiatric or orthopedic practice are preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

*Organized, detail oriented and able to complete tasks in a timely manner. 

*Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to interact with professionalism and tact under stress. 

*Proficient with applications such as Microsoft Office, various patient management/EHR and digital x-ray processing solutions and be able to adapt to new technology.
