Interim Department Chair & Associate or Full Professor
Interim Department Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology and part of the leadership team of the College. Responsibilities of the chair include, but are not limited to providing visionary leadership to advance a culture of collaboration, transparency, and excellence in line with College’s goals and the University’s strategic plan; enhancing social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusive excellence among faculty, staff, and students in the department; managing and developing the financial, human, and facility resources necessary to accomplish the mission of the department; working with faculty to enhance and expand the academic portfolio of the department at the undergraduate and graduate level; supporting and promoting faculty and student research, including growing the department’s external funding profile; promoting efforts to improve recruitment and retain students, faculty, and staff; providing guidance and evaluation for promotion and tenure; continuing to teach and perform research duties as appropriate. Possibility of annual renewal up to three years' as this is an interim appointment.
Awarded tenure at Miami with a current appointment as Associate/Full Professor in Educational Psychology. Earned doctorate in Educational Psychology or closely related field; established record of teaching, research and service.
Consideration may be given to candidates with prior leadership/administrative experience.
