This position is located in Frisco
New College provides leadership and strategic direction for developing, coordinating, and expanding UNT regional campus academic programs. The primary regional campuses include UNT at Frisco and the Collin Higher Education Center (CHEC) in McKinney. The Dean of New College office will also direct an academic unit that offers a range of programs and services designed to meet the needs of post-traditional students.

Conducts and coordinates tasks related to advising, recruitment, orientation, and retention of undergraduate students in the Applied Arts and Sciences program. Prepares degree plans, plan approval forms, degree audits, graduation audits and other documentation of student plans and progress.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience in student affairs, student services, counseling, or professional academic advising.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to use a variety of complex computer applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations verbally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work independently and lead project teams effectively.
- Considerable knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).
The preferred candidate will be flexible, patient, and creative. Will possess the following additional qualifications: * Academic Advising Experience at the 2-yr institution level (Community College, Junior College). * Academic Advising Experience working with veterans, adult/non-traditional students, and/or students with non-traditional forms of credit such as veterans and active-duty military.Work Schedule:
