Description:

The Department of Occupational Therapy, College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor. The successful applicant will serve as faculty for the Occupational Therapy Doctorate degree program and/or the Bachelor of Health Science program, with primary responsibilities in teaching, secondary responsibilities in research, and service activities as assigned.

The Department of Occupational Therapy (http://ot.phhp.ufl.edu/ ) is a top-ten ranked Department in the USA according to the 2020 U.S. News and World Report and a national leader in occupational therapy education and research. The Department offers an interprofessional U.S. Department of Education training grant for Doctor of Occupational Therapy students. The Department has active and federally funded research programs in the areas of driving rehabilitation and community mobility, learning disabilities, and aging. The Department offers outstanding academic and training programs that include a Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science program, a BHS-OTD accelerated program and a post-professional certificate in Driver Rehabilitation Therapy.  The Department is a co-leader in the NIH-funded K12 Rehabilitation Research Career Development consortium and is home to the Institute for Mobility, Activity and Participation.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:  Applicants must have a relevant doctoral degree and be licensed/license-eligible as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida.

Preferred Qualifications:  Teaching experience is essential.
