Building Service Aide I, Athletics Plant Maintenance

Regular, Full-time - MR01 - (2 Positions Available) 

This position will assist and aide in the daily custodial duties, preventative maintenance, and general maintenance for all athletic facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Daily general maintenance and cleaning of athletic facilities.Post-athletic department sponsored event cleaning.General painting on athletic grounds and facilities, including but not limited to touch-up painting, exterior surfaces at ground level, etc.Other duties as assigned.
 



Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or GED required/Associate’s Degree preferred in a related field. Driver license required

Experience:    

Working in general custodial services/facilities maintenance for a company or university/college is required.

Skills:   

  • Basic cleaning and general maintenance knowledge and skills
  • Basic skills with hand and small electric tools.
  • Knowledge of maintaining different types of flooring and surfaces.
  • Ability to identify safety hazards and report to supervisor.
  • Ability to set up and break down athletic events.
  • Basic knowledge of small engine maintenance (basic air blower, pressure washer, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborative environment.
  • Excellent time management skills
