Job Summary

The Coordinator for Internal Operations, Athletics position is a full-time benefits-eligible position within the Department of Athletics. This position works during the 9-month Academic Year (August through May) with an additional 1-month assignment during the summer months. The Coordinator for Internal Operations will assist the Director of Athletics and the Associate Director of Athletics in coordinating daily operations of a NCAA DII intercollegiate athletic department.

Responsibilities include, facility scheduling for practices and home contests, home athletic event management, managing graduate assistants, interns and student worker personnel, assisting with compliance tracking and coordination of departmental initiatives.

Interested individuals must have skill communicating and establishing rapport with internal and external constituents. The ability to identify and independently resolve issues and an ability to prioritize and manage workloads is required. The position often requires working evenings, weekends and holidays throughout the year

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or Event Management, or a related field and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills is required, as well as a minimum of one year of related experience in event operations and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and in using standard office equipment and technology.
  • Candidate must complete a successful interview.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a Division II athletics department.
