The Talent Representative, under general supervision, supports a centralized employment process at UCI. Serves as a subject matter expert in recruitment and onboarding processes and systems. Performs a host of services in support of recruitment and onboarding activities. Coordinate's onboarding paperwork, background checks, I-9 verifications, and license verifications as well as analyzing issues and advising stakeholders, as appropriate. Provides general recruitment supports, such as assisting applicants with applying for jobs and troubleshooting technical issues. Ensures compliance with UC policies, UCI procedures, and US and California employment law, especially as it relates to employment eligibility. Uses professional employment and staffing techniques and concepts for employment and policies for the organization. Employment area of moderate scope and complexity. Works on employment onboarding for all levels of positions. Works on recruitment support for all levels of positions. Normally receives general direction on staffing and employment assignments, with more detailed direction provided on new or more specialized and complex assignments. Exercises judgment within defined staffing and employment procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Works with internal and external contacts.
