This person will work in the Grubbs research group where their major responsibilities will be toward the design, construction and testing of a novel microwave rotational spectrometer. These responsibilities include open communication with subaward institutions and co-PI Donnell on the current status of the project. They will manage many aspects of the spectrometer development project. Minimum Qualifications

PhD in Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry (Instrumentation), or Chemical Physics and demonstrated understanding of spectroscopic techniques

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of High and Ultra-High Vacuum Technology
Experience with coupling exotic molecular sourcing techniques to spectrometers and/or mass spectrometers
Experience with coding languages like PYTHON, LabView, C++, etc.
Molecular spectroscopy and/or mass spectrometry experience
CAD programming design and machining experience is highly desirable
