The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) has an Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Reporting Analyst opening within its Information Technology Department in the application development (AppDev) team. Under some supervision, the successful candidate is responsible for the design, development, and support of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP dashboards, reports, conversions, interfaces, and enhancements with an emphasis on the development of dashboards and reports, The ideal candidate will be working closely with customer departments and responsible for engaging end-users in with reporting needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

 

The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is a world-class fusion energy research laboratory managed by Princeton University for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science. PPPL is dedicated to developing the scientific and technological knowledge base for fusion energy. The Laboratory advances the fields of fusion energy and plasma physics research to develop the scientific understanding and key innovations needed to realize fusion as an energy source for the world.

Responsibilities
  • Develop programs for data conversions, interfaces, and enhancements (30%)
  • Develop new reports and enhance Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP reports (40%)
  • Analyze the business procedures and provide AI guides to the lab leadership (10%)
  • Provide trainings and documentations for functional users (10%)
  • Backup support for other applications within AppDev Team (10%)
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information system, or business administration
  • Working experience with data conversion and reporting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years hands on experience developing dashboards and reports using Oracle Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), and Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP), including:
    • Ability to create custom formulas, advanced reports, and dashboards within OTBI
    • Strong familiarity with Oracle's Cloud ERP Financials out-of-the-box reports
    • Experience developing BI Publisher data models and using RTF templates
  • Hands on experience with end-to-end report testing cycle
  • Hands on experience in monitoring the effectiveness of reporting products, modifying current reports, or operationalize new reports
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manner
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with an ability to understand and communicate complex functional and technical solutions to departments and end users
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and set priorities
  • Provides basic to advanced reporting training and guidance to customers with focus on enabling users self-service reporting solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Government Subcontractors, DOE laboratories and/or higher education
  • Experience in effectively managing confidential data, and professional working with colleagues in establishing and adhering to data governance standards
  • 1+ year experience with Cloud native tools like FBDI, ADFdi, Application tool kit (flex fields, lookups, value sets, ESS etc.), Oracle Cloud personalization
  • Experience or knowledge on Oracle Financials and Supply Chain Management modules, such as AP, FA, CM, PO, Budget, and Projects etc. will be an added advantage
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion configuration and administration including roles, permissions, page layouts, custom objects, scripting, workflows, reports, and dashboards
  • Knowledge of SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, and report performance tuning skills
  • Ability to recommend business process or system enhancements to improve reporting capabilities and influence system owners to incorporate changes

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting of IT equipment less than 20lbs such as a desktop tower computer or computer monitor may be required.

  • Flexible work option available up to 90% Remote
