- Master’s Degree in public health, higher education, social work or related field plus five or more years progressive related experience to include administering comparable programs, and experience in rape crisis services and/or violence prevention.
- Ability to effectively manage and respond to high risk crisis and safety situations.
- Proven ability to lead critical and strategic planning, organize and manage concurrent priorities and projects including fiscal management, grant-writing, and outreach informed by best practice, federal and state laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop diverse staff team including the selection, training, supervision and retention of staff. Demonstrated understanding of unique needs related to service provision by a volunteer staff.
- Contemporary knowledge of theory and best practices related to trauma informed practice and effective strategies relating to supporting both staff providing crisis services and victims/survivors in need of support.
- Ability to interact professionally, effectively, and collaboratively with broad range of campus and community partners constituencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Strong proficiency in various contemporary technology platforms including Microsoft Office applications and electronic communications required.
- Ability and willingness to travel. Some weekend or evening hours required. A valid driver's license and access to car required.
