The Coordinator of Structured Sports is responsible for supporting the administration of the Sport Club and intramural program offerings. Position delivers programming that promotes student engagement and supports the mission of the Campus Recreation department by coordinating and implementing comprehensive sport club and intramural programs. Ensures consistent enforcement and execution of intramural and facility policies and procedures and proper risk management practices. Receives direct administrative supervision and guidance from the Assistant Director of Structured Sports.Job Description
Assist in the management and daily operation of the intramural program.Develop team, individual, and special event sport schedules which include weekday, evening, and weekend programming.
Assist with the management of the sport club program including, but not limited to, club organization, player registration, club officer mentorship, oversight of safety and emergency protocols, travel and budget administration, leadership development and training, and risk management.
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate all intramural and club sport staff including student/temp supervisors, sports officials and other student/temp employees.Develop and implement ongoing orientations and trainings so that each individual staff members excels in their positions, delivers exceptional customer service to our participants, and enforces divisional and institutional polices.
Review and maintain monthly key performance indicator (KPI) tracking reports to outline program participation statistics and ensure sport clubs are adhering to prescribed standards of operation.
Schedule and coordinate all practice time with facilities and operations team to ensure proper facility usage.
Assist the Assistant Director of Structured Sports in managing the intramural, sport club, and special events budget.Prepare payroll for student/temp supervisors, officials, and other student/temp staff.
Develop and implement effective marketing and promotional strategies for intramurals and special events.Submit social media content to Marketing Assistant.

A Bachelor’s Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A degree with an emphasis in recreational sports management, college student personnel, student affairs, or other related area is preferred. A strong background in risk management, especially as it relates to intramural sports and registered student organization sport clubs, is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of intramural sports league scheduling and registered student organization sport club programs or equivalent experience. Requires effective organizational, management, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy is required. Experience with Intramurals and/or Sports Clubs or equivalent. Candidates must be willing to work evenings and/or weekends as required.Job Location - City, State
