This position is on site at our Cullowhee campus. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support for the Associate Dean and Head of Access Services through technical assistance, marketing and event planning assistance and office support.
Knowledge of library operations and procedures. Familiarity or knowledge of Microsoft Office, the ability to use standard office equipment, ability to read and interpret various documents related to the job, ability to perform work requiring accuracy and considerable attention to detail without close supervision. Ability to use a personal computer for extended periods of time. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of or experience with library reference/research support services. Anticipated Hiring Range:
Ability to perform work requiring accuracy and attention to detail without close supervision.
Ability to work independently and prioritize work flow.
Associate degree (2-year degree) with some experience in a library, office or academic environment.
